“Entrepreneurs provide the backbone to a nation’s economic sustainability. As they create new products, services, markets and channels, they too create numerous employment opportunities that reduce the gap between the rich and poor. There is no doubt that in the current period of global economic uncertainty, we need entrepreneurs even more than usual,” said Prime Minister Malaysia YAB Dato’ Seri Haji Mohd Najib Bin Razak, who was represented by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Y.B. Senator Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon during the Excellence Award Ceremony 2011.

Organized in response to the Government's support for industrial development and advancement, the 2011 Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Excellence Awards serve as a testament to the potential and strengths of the company, and an important recognition of FCTI's Precursor Stem Cell Therapy in this region.

Michelle Wong added, “We will further strive to bring in more Swiss technologies and foreign experts in the field of Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapy to be based, our Asia Pacific Regional Hub.

To ensure a progressive development of our regenerative medicine for people around the world is of paramount importance to me, as I fervently believe in the Swiss Cell Therapy methodology of adding more life to years than years to life.

The Swiss-based Multinational Company, FCTI, would be venturing to construct a new Asia Pacific Regional Hub. This will include a modern-styled multi-storey corporate building, in addition to their already built up bungalow lots, occupying more than 50,000 sq. feet of working space embracing an exquisite working environment. It also includes a bonded warehouse, high-end biotechnology research labs, a pharmaceutical plant for biotech products currently manufactured in Switzerland, Germany and Europe, a modern stem cell Research and Development plant and exclusive meeting-cum-training areas for physicians in the anti-ageing field and international guests. Moreover, the building will accommodate the existing workforce, comprised of more than 10 different nationalities including Russian, Spanish, French, German, British, Latin American, Japanese, Chinese, American and Swiss. In addition, there will be a team of full-time Medical Anti-Aging Doctors and Scientists from Switzerland, USA, Germany and Russia to conduct research and development, clinical studies and logistics studies for the Asia Pacific.

This bold venture heralds a promising future for FCTI in the Asia-Pacific area, as its KKIP-based Asia Pacific Hub will be the largest precursor stem-cell therapy establishment in the region. With the importation of modern Swiss technology, several of Europe’s leading biotechnologists, stem cell experts and medical consultants as well as state-of-the-art facilities by the two Sabah-based companies, Sabah is set to evolve as the center of biotechnological developments in the Asian region.
